THE HISTORY : A vision born in the bosom of the Ko'olau. A promise made in the heart of one man. Ekalesia, The Foundation of Jesus Christ, a tiny church in the heart of Kahalu'u is the culmination of that vision, the fruit of that promise. Started 13 years ago in the pastor's home the church took shape from it's humble beginnings from the family parlor into a brand new church nesled at the foot of the Ko'olau. Just as the mountains that surrounded it was sculpted by eons from wind and rain Ekalesia also was formed by the lives and circumstances of those who worship there. Triumphs and tragedies, happiness and hardships mark the character of the church. What began with a vision of a country preacher grew into a promise made to God by a young musician.

THE PROMISE: Kelly Boy De Lima, well-known leader of the musical group Kapena has been a deacon of Ekalesia for over a decade and is especially active in their music ministry. This album is his conception and marks the fulfillment of a personal promise made to God that he would use his musical gift to share God's awesome message with others.

THE MIRACLE: Producing an album entails a considerable expense and posed a serious obstacle towards the completion of the project. Ultimately against great odds the recording lay in the hands of young Kapena De Lima who recorded in a home studio and preformed all engineering and instrumental tracks as well. Together with his sisters and other family and church members who contributed on the vocals this homegrown offering became a reality. It is indeed a testimony to the miraculous hand of God at work.

THE BLESSING: The story of the making of Ekalesia Praise is a story of a promise made by a father, fulfilled by a son, and shared by family and friends to bless and uplift all who hear it. As the doxology reminds us - "Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow".
